Having trouble with basic math or quadratic functions? KhanAcademy.org offers free video tutorials on thousands of topics, mainly in math and science. Videos are short, knowledgeable, and very well done. Even Bill Gates uses the videos to help his son in school.

With the school season upon us, many of us are looking for ways to motivate the little people in our lives. Two deals for Brookfield Zoo are popping out at me. TODAY is kids free at Brookfield. Normal kids prices are $9.50. So, grab the little ones and go see the Great Bear Wilderness exhibit.
Can't make it today? Westfield Southlake in Merrillville, Indiana is offering 2 FREE tickets to Brookfield (a $27 value), but there is a catch. First, you must be a WFamily member (sign up free at concierge). Second, you must buy $50 worth of items related to Bears. Examples of this include lunch at Panda Express, anything from Build-A-Bear, or Chicago Bears paraphernalia. More examples and program details here.
So, maybe some early Christmas shopping is order?
